Descendants of the Murray Family of Indiana and Virginia

Welcome to my web site! The Murray Gathering Place. Many hours of work have been put into the research and documentation of these ancestors was put together in the early 1970's by Gladys and Susan Murray Popplewell in Indiana with help from Martha Murray Swanson to gather information in Virginia about the Murray Family. I would like to give Helen Caudill a lot of thanks for some of the recent updates. My name is Bill and I am continuing the research and update of our genealogy. This photo is of Aaron Murray and Peggy and John Murray. John Monroe was the son of Aaron and Cynthia Murray. Peggy Anders was the daughter of Starling and Sarah Richardson Anders. John and Peggy Murray is a good starting point into looking into the family history. This starting point may change as information is gathered. (The starting point has been changed already with the information about John's father Aaron Murray and now it changes again with new information about Aaron Murray parents Thomas and Jemima Murray

Genealogy update:The name Murray is often found as Murry when researching information. When doing research on the Surname of Anders it is often found as Anders-Andrews also. I have chosen to go with the name of Anders. If someone know the reason why it is found both way please let me know.
